Safety & access
Smart lock
Why it stays at the chalet
The code changes between departures. Housekeeping gets in without a key ring, and the next guest does not inherit the last code.
What to look for
A battery Wi-Fi model, not one that only runs on mains power. Outages are normal in the Laurentians and Charlevoix, and a dead lock blocks check-in.

Bathroom
White bath towels
White can be bleached. One matching set, so housekeeping replaces without guessing.
